Clark Leary, a former San Pierre resident, now of Lowell, was a social caller here last Thursday. Catherine Fullan of Chicago is spending an indefinite visit with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Fullan and family. Mr. and Mrs. Art Muzzall and daughter of Crown Point spent Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Dolezal, Jr. Miss Miriam Moran, a member of the Chalmers high school teaching staff, spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Moran. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schmidt and family, Mrs. August Schmidt of Gary, were San Pierre social callers Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Art Marshal, and Aline of Monon, were in town Sunday visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Hine.

Mrs. Amil Maukey and son, Wilmer, and C. Dye autoed to Chicago Tuesday and spent the day with relatives. Mr, and Mrs. James Kadarck and family of Chicago, spent the past week as guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Kadarvek. By this means Mrs. Jesse Clawson wishes to thank the many ladies of Railroad Township who offered their services in the sewing of garments for the Red Cross. The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Williams who died in the Williams home east of town was buried at Rensselaer Friday. The San Pierre Guardsmen won a feature game last Thursday from the Knox A. G., in an overtime game, the score being 25-23. The Cardinals split even during the week, losing Tuesday to Hanna 23 to 29, and winning from Medaryville Thursday by a six point margin. A game is scheduled Sunday here against Monterey. Mr. and Mrs. Julius Selmer, Mrs. Charles Kruger, Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Kottka, Mrs. H. Kruger and John Prien attended the funeral of Har-

Hecker spent Friday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Weinkouf at La Crosse Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Meyers, of Gary were Sunday dinner guests of Dr. and Mrs. W. J. Salt.
