J. L. Solomon and Claude Osburn were in Rensselaer on business Friday afternoon. Mrs. Mary Solomon spent Sunday with her daughter, Mrs. Roy Osburn. Rev. H. J. Bonnema, pastor of the Range Line church called on several families in this community Wednesday. Mrs. Tom Ross, of Hebron, enjoyed a visit with her son, John Ross and family, Friday and Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Reed were Sunday callers of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reed and Edna Jane. There will be an oyster and chili supper at Center school house Friday evening, Jan. 27. This is for the benefit of the Range Line Church. Please help, come. Entertainment after the supper. Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Solomon entertained at Sunday dinner, the following relatives: Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Solomon and children, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Solomon and son Jimmie, Mr and Mrs. Clarence Reed and Edna Jane, Mrs. Mary Solomon, Edna Solomon and Richard Ellis. On Thursday, Joe Little, Harvey Busselberg, Richard Ellis, and Hubert Hooshein attended the Agriculture Conference at Purdue. Ruth Stahl and Mrs. F. G. Van Swearingen called on Mrs. Jay Pearce Tuesday night. Mrs. John Johnson and son called on her Wednesday night. Ellen Solomon spent Saturday night wth her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Solomon. Mrs. Joe Little spent Thursday wth Mrs. Harvey- Busselberg. They called on Wm. Dunn in the afternoon. Mr. Dunn s condition remains about the same. Friday, the 13th was Melvin Osburn’s birthday. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Osburn, Chester, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Long and Barbara and Louie Black ate supper with the Melvin Osburn family. Joe Little and his neighbors finished putting up ice Friday. Lowell defeated Chesterton, Friday night, score 23-15.
