TEFFT HIGH SCHOOL NOTES.

Those making honor grades for the semester in the second and third grades are as follows: second grade, Ist. Mildred Stalbaum; 2nd, Norma Seegrist and 3rd, Maxine Florer. The third grade. Ist, Ruth Anderson,; 2nd, Lawrence Stalbaum and 3rd, Harry Miller. The fourth grade. Harold Duggleby, Eileen Kingman. The fifth ' grade, Margaret Fenzel, and Bobby Stalbaum, and sixth, Valeida Neier and Helen Boback. Those making perfect spelling ’ grades for the month of December were: Irene Roach, James Stonebraker, Valeida Neier, Verme^’ Davis, Bobby Stalbaum, Alberta Lewark. Bobby Lawrence, and Harold Duggleby. Robert Lewark and Edward Hill of our eighth grade class were absent Monday and David Carter returned to school this week after i spending an extra vacation week with relatives around Detroit, Mich The seventh and eighth grade room had .an interestng group of , slides and lecture about the Civil , War, last week.

The following pupils have been neither tr.” nor absent during the school year: Paul Davis, Dorothy Brown, Malcolm Lawrence, Edward Stalbaum, Ivan Robbins, Ward Stalbaum, and Mildred Krug. We hope that these pupils will be able to continue their good attendance i record for the remainder of the i school term. The ’ seniors have selected and are working on their class play “The Strange Bequest” a comedy drama of three acts, which they intend to give during the latter part if January. Watch this column for further announcements. Miss May Neier of near Wheatfield was a school visitor last Friday. Miss Neier was a former student of the school. The students are getting along splendidly under the new schedule which went into effect the first part of the month.

They are still several on the sick list but because of the fine weather of the past week they are gradually getting back in school. On last Tuesday morning the Amercan Government class had a very interesting lesson on law making in Indiana Legislature, a very timely topic. During the recitation slides, showing the different legis-

lative processes and well known Indianapolis scenes were flashed on the screen. Those makng an average of B plus or better during the first semester were; Pearl Krug, Vera Lawrence. Robert Anderson, Fern Liskey, Adelaide Stalbaum, Harold Martin, Marjorie Swing, Harriet Neier. i !
