Camels
The life of a camel is about forty years. Although they are not fully grown until sixteen or seventeen, they are trained from their fourth year to work for man. They can travel from twenty to twenty-five miles a day, and will go from three to five days without water. A mature animal carries as much as a thousand pounds. ©, 1932, Western Newspaper Union.
