Mrs. R. A. Thompson and daughter, Ruth were shopping in Chicago. Friday. Mrs. Alfred Korth, Mrs. Harry Robinson and Mrs. Arthur Korth autoed to Rensselaer Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Adam, of East Chicago spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Weaver. Mr. and Mrs. George S. Jaye entertained Chicago friends Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Humphrey of Calumet City and Rufus Cheeks of here spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. William Moarlax. Mr. Alfred Korth and Clarence a ttended an American Legion meeting in DeMotte Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Kight called on friends in Grant Park Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bergman of Chicago visited with Mr. and Mrs; John T. Bess and family Sunday. Mrs. Alvae Magae and son of Gary and Mrs. J .T. Bess visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emqst Madison in Lake Village Wednesday. Mr. ttnd Mrs. Cordell Weaver spent the evening with Mr. and Mrs. William Moarlax Sunday. Mrs Alfred Korth and Mrs. Ivan Bess were Lowell visitors Wednesday Ross Thompson is over the flu and was able to attend to his work as usual Monday. Miss Mildred Barkey is confined to her home at this writing with neuralgia. ■ Mr. White of Kentland visited with friends in town Monday. Mrs. John Flatt of Shelby and Mrs. Edward Meyers of DeMotte called at the Burton home Sunday.
