Short Night
It was Willie’s first ride in a railway train, and the succession of wonders reduced him to a state of continuous astonishment. The train rounded a slight bend and, with a shriek of its whistle, plunged into a tunnel. There were gasps of surprise from the corner where Willie was. Suddenly the train rushed into broad daylight again, and a small voice was lifted in wonder. “It’s tomorrow I” exclaimed the small boy.—Christian Register.
