Mr. and Mrs. F. Wendleburg and son motored to southwestern Iowa last week to attend the funeral of a relative. The Ladies Aid will have their annual bazaar Saturday evening, Dec. 10, at the school house. Everyone is cordially invited. Miss Juanana Sehnepk, Mrs. DeLong and Mr. L Langdon had dinner at the F. O. Cyphers home Wednesday evening. Mrs. Anna Pewesdorff has returned home after spending several weeks in Chicago visiting relatives. Last Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. F. Kleinpaste visited a number of their friends to help them celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary. This event was celebrated with their children and relatives late in the summer when their daughter from New York and son from Ohio were at home. Mrs. Bert Nichols of Hammond visited Saturday wtih her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. O. Cyphers. Joe DerKindern spent the week end in Thayer visiting his mother. The Stump family, the Elmer Cyhers family, Mrs. DeLong. Miss Scneck, Mr. Langdon and Bill Schultz enjoyed an oyster supper at the Boswinkle home Sunday evening. The young people gave an interesting Thanksgiving program at the Church Sunday evening. The play told of the work being done among the American Indians. Mr. and Mrs Elmer Cyphers and Donna are planning to spent this week end visiting relatives in Grand Rapids, Mich. The boys are eagerly awaiting the first issue of the Sportsmans Magazine for which F. O. Cyphers so meekly subscribed. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Jarret visited at the Zeck home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Powers and Myrtle DeFries visited Mr. and Mrs James Nelson Saturday. Paul Cyphers has spent several days visiting in Gary. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Clinton and children spent Sunday with his mother at Brook. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gouty visited her father, Mr. Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Odle visited their daughter, Mrs. Arnold Bailey Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Mark visited at the R. Boswinkle home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James O’Donald and Mrs. W. O’Donald of E. Chicago spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Granger. Gobbles, quacks and clucks came from the I. G. A. Store this week from a turkey, a duck and a chicken. voicing their protest at being offered as prizes by our local I. G. A. Store on Wednesday evening. Someone will win these birds.
