CAR TURNS OVER, KILLS ONE
Phyliss Rainford, twelve year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rainford, was killed at a point two miles west of Enos, when their car turned completely over. Mrs. Rainford and another daughter, Barbara, were both seriously cut and bruised. Phyliss sustained a crushed head and throat cuts and was taken to Morocco by a passing motorist where she died. The cause of the accident was thought to be caused by a tire blowing out, althought definite details were not learned. The child is survived by her mother, a sister and brother, and her father. The body was taken to the Hancock funeral home in Morocco. “Grand Hotel” is to be shown at the Gayble Theatre, in North Judson, four days, Oct. 12, 13, 14 and 15. No motion picture ever made has caused the furore that has greeted this famous picture that ran for an entire year to capacity audiences in New York. There has never been, and perhaps will never be again, such a magnificient cast assembled for any one picture. Greta Garbo, John Barrymore, Joan Crawford, Wallace Beery, Lionel Barrymore, Jean Hersholt and Lewis Stone are some of the major luminaries to be seen in “Grand Hotel”. The most exacting theatre goer could not ask for more.
