Arthur Blue of Chicago spent the week end here with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Gulbranson entertained Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Jonas, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Smith of Valparaiso and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Myers of Wheatfield last Sunday. Max Hilliard spent the week end with friends in Chicago. Leslie Jensen of South Bend spent several days last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Jensen. Mrs. Emma Biggs returned to Gary after a few days visit here with friends and relatives. Mr. Frank Grube is moving to town this week. He will occupy the rooms above Mr. Lewis Grube’s place of business Robert Smith of Purdue University spent the week at home.. Mrs. Frank Zeck entered the LaPorte clinic Monday for observation The Sunday School attendance for this week was 107. Miss Edverda Anderson is home after spending a few weeks in Chicago. Mrs. Gertrude Jensen moved to Chicago Tuesday where she will make her home. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gibbs visited friends in Chicago Thursday and Friday. Miss Martha Putts of Rensselaer was a guest of Miss Virginia Hilliard Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Block and family spent the week end in Chicago. Miss Cora Finney and Mrs. Adelaide Blue were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Hankins last Friday at Rensselaer. Miss Nellie Delehanty entertained the Country Card Club Thursday afternoon. Those attending the funeral of Mrs. John Allen at Kankakee were: Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Grube, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Grube, Miss Anna Misch, Henry Misch, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Grube, and family, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Grube and family, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Fendig and Mrs. Chas. Hewitt. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Dunn attended the dedication of state road 16 at Hazelden last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith were Valparaiso visitors Wednesday.
