Mrs. Ella Welsh of Kankakee arrived at the Owen Daly home last week for an indefinate visit there. Mrs. Meta Arndt and children returned to Valparaiso Sunday evening following a days visit with Mr. L. Rennewanz and wife. Miss Helen and Mr. Robert Dolezal were Sunday dinner guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dolezal, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Myers, of Gary Mr. John Burns and Dr. Guy Solt of Hammond spent Sunday at the home of Dr. and Mrs. W. J. Solt. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kock left Saturday for Elgin, where they will spend an indefinite visit. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Siebenthal spent Sunday at Turkey Run. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Marks of Chicago spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. J. Clawson. Mrs. Charles Brown, Mrs. M. L. Mathews and son Herbert, Mr. Ed. Hecker autoed to Chicago Thursday where they were shoppers as well as visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Carroll. Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Clawson and daughters, Master Chase Gilmore, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Clawson spent a pleasant Sunday at the Turkey Run State Park. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Hecker returned to Gary Sunday evening after spending the week with Mrs. M. L. Mathews. Miss Mae Felvey returned to Chicago Sunday evening after a two weeks visit with Mr. M. D. Falvey and daughter. Mr. Frank Underwood and sister of Merrillville and Mrs. John Macy of Gary were callers at the home of Mr. Jesse Clawson Saturday. Mrs. Grace Jones and daughter speht the week end as guests of rel-

atives at Indianapolis. The Washington Bi-Centennial program which was rendered at the school assembly Thursday night drew a large crowd. The program which proved most interesting and appropriate consisted of a talk by

Father Felix Seroccynski of North Judson and several muscial numbers presented by the school completed the evening entertainment. Miss Francis Smith was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Gilbert at Knox over the week end.
