Miss Mulder spent a few days in Chicago, where she attended the fundral of a cousin. Mrs. Wilke of Schneider and Mr. C. E. Smith of Lowell were in town Tuesday on business. Mrs. Jay Weaver and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Hyland Weaver of Francesville attended the Cub’s ball game in Chicago Tuesday. Mr. Joseph Kight is doing some carpenter work on a farm near Belshaw this week. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Bess and Mrs. J. T. Bess were shoppers in Gary

Thompson who have been camping in Michigan returned to their home here last Wednesday. Velva Burton visited with home folks last Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Adams of E. Chicago called on Mr. and Mrs. Jay Weaver Sunday. Mrs. Arnold Schreiber and daughter, Norma Jean of Brunswick spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. John Barkey. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Korth, Jr., and Jelta and Maggie Mulder were sight-seeing in Chicago Sunday. Some of the places of interest of which they viewed was the Field Museum and the Planetarium. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Korth were Kankakee visitors Tuesday. The Ladies Aid Society met at the home of Mrs. W. Wilder. An enjoyable time was had by all. The Club will meet in two weeks with Mrs. R. A. Thompson. The Rose Lawn ball team played Shelby last Sunday, and won by a score of 13-6. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Muzzall and daughter, Janice and Donna Jean of Crown Point called on Mrs. A. Burton, Sunday.
