The schools of Railroad Township will open on Tuesday, Sept. 6. On Friday, Sept. 2nd, all pupils are requested to assemble at the school building to receive their book lists. The complete teaching staff as announced by Trustee Dr. Wm. J. Solt is as follows: San Pierre school Principal, J. N. McCauley; Ass’t. Prin., Ralph Richardson; English and Domestic Science, Mrs. Grace Jones; Music and Com., Miss Marcella Faucett; 7th and 8th, O. J. Clawson; 5th and 6th Miss Herretta Daly; 3rd and 4th Miss Dora Batzka; 1st and 2nd, Miss Frances Smith Lomax; Mrs. Wilma Long and Miss Ann Fullan. English Lake; Miss Mamie Tyl. Robert Batzka, Clyde Kingman and Miss Margaret Welsh of Hamlet autoed to the North side of Chiago Saturday where they witnessed the final game of the Dodgers and Cubs three game series. Mr. Joe Fullam, who has been employed in western Kansas during the summer months arrived home Friday morning for a weeks visit with his parents. Walter Siebenthal, Carl Beaubman, Raymond and Fritz Eckert attended the double header between the Cubs and Giants at Wrigley Field at Chicago Saturday. Miss LaDelle Falvey returned to Chicago Monday following a weeks visit with Mr. N. D. Falvey and daughter, Nell. Mrs. Nora Hook of Gary is spending a two weeks vacation at the home of Mr. Lewis Baker and Mrs. August Kain. Mr. Ed. Hecker, Phyllis Mathews, Mesdames Charles Brown, M. L. Mathews and Martha Gorell spent Wednesday and Thursday in Chicago as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Carroll. Miss Merian Moran, who has been attending the teachers college at Terre Haute during the summer months arrived home Saturday for a weeks visit with her parents before leaving for Chalmers where she will teach during the coming year. Mr. Ralph Richardson returned home Friday following the completion of a sixteen week summer term at the State Normal at Terre Haute, Ind. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Daly attended the annual reunion of the 309th Engineering Regiment of which Mr. Daly is a member at Indianapolis Friday and Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. T. Daly reported a most pleasant time at the Reunion. Next year the 10th annual gathering will be held at Columbus, Ohio.,
