Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Grube revisited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jasperson over the week end. A. L. Jensen and son Louis, Tom Jensen and son Thomas, and Robert Smith went to Chicago last Friday on business and stopped in to see the Cubs play. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Denton of Gary visited friends here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kirchoff and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Waiver of Berwyn, Ill., visited Mr. and Mrs. Lou Jensen Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jay of Rensselaer and Mrs. Skeen of Indianapolis are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Alva Jay. Miss Mary Lou Clark of Crown Point is visiting this week with her grandmother, Mrs. B. F. Hayes. The Pot Luck Bridge Club entertained their husbands Thursday night at the home of Mrs. Bea Jensen. Prizes for high scores were won by Mrs. Alva Jay and Mr. H. W. Marble. The low score prize was captured by Mr. H. E. Remely Mrs. Joseph Hilliard is at Rensselaer this week. She is one of the Superintendents of the Women’s Department of the Jasper County Fair. Miss Norma Houck of Lafayette and Miss Iris Wilson of Monroe City are visiting Lanta Smith. Mrs. Jessie Dunn and children visited Mr. and Mrs. W. J. White last week. Warren White, Charley Brown and Wm. Brown, attended the Cubs game at Chicago last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Manz attended the show at North Judson Sunday evening. Several from here attended the game between Rensselaer and DeMotte last Sunday Were all weel pleased with the result. Mr. Thompson of Knox suffered painful injuries when his car crashed through a bridge railing on state road 10 last Friday. Chicken thieves visited Aubrey Brown last Friday night taking a large number of chickens. Mrs. H. S. Hewitt was a Wheatfield visitor Tuesday. A large number from here attended the Farm Bureau picnic at Chaplines Park last Sunday. Bill Meyers took a load of cattle to the Chicago Stock Yards last

Wagner, of Chicago, visited the Behles family last Sunday Robert Kerns drove to Chicago Saturday night returning Sunday with his wife who has been visiting friends there. The Wheatfield base ball team was defeated Sunday by Fair Oaks, the score was 6 to 3.
