LaCROSSE.
ROSENBAUM-KETNER Miss Adeline Rosenbaum was the bride and Rev. Elmer Ketner of Boston the groom, in a very pretty church wedding, last Saturday afternoon at four o’clock. The bride was dressed in white carrying a bouquet of roses and valley lilies. The bridesmaids wore pretty pink and blue organdy with footwear and sashes of contrasting colors. Their bouquets were mixed garden flowers. During the wedding the song, “The Day of Golden Promise” was sung by Mrs. C. Stephan of Westville. Forty guests were invited to the wedding supper served in the basement of the church. The Rev. Ketner is well known at Wanatah, having attended high school there, also in LaCrosse and has been employed in the post office since graduating in 1927. After a trip to Niagara Falls and a short vacation in Pocono Pines, Pa., the couple will be at home at 1 Waldorf St., Boston, Mass. Upon their departure the bride wore a dark red velvet suit, with black accessories. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Sheely, Dr. I. D. Funkhouse and wife and Dr. D. D. Oak with their families took an outing at Shaffer Lake last Sunday. Lowell P. Kemper worked on a threshing job last week and came home with a good sun-burn. William Fairier of LaCrosse went to Muncie last week end with his finest gladiolus to the state show. He returned with five silver loving cups and twenty one red, white and blue ribbons. He elected vicepresident of the State Gladiolus Association. James Carlton, Ben Machler and Hershal Smith went fishing last Thursday bringing home twenty two fish. Some luck.
