Fabric Is Suitable for Graduation and Party Frocks.
May Do Had in Wide Range of Colors, Plaid or Stripe; Popularity Assured. Colored dimity dresses make their bow In the clrls' dress sections of many stores. These frocks are much softer looking than orjrandie, and thoy are to ho had In the same wide ranse of colors. In addition, they have the charm of a plaid or a stripe, formed by the heavier threads which cross them. One dainty dross was made of pillbox dimity. Tho short puff sleeves were trimmed with rquare appliques of white dimity stitched with black wool. The full skirt was decorated !n the kuiio way. A hit of the white fabric stitched In Mack finished the neck, while a black ribbon sash delined the rather hlj;li waistline. At one store a pretty yellow dimity was sern. This was a simple dress, easily slipped on and easily adjusted. It was cut In one piece, on chemise lines. Through a casing at the lowered waistline a Jade-green ribbon was drawn, the ends drought out at either side and tied In a drooping bow. The effect of the green ribbon through the yellow transparency was very picturesque. The neck was bound with green ribbon, as were the short sleeves. A specialty shop showed a child's dress of llesh-colored dimity, with tiny old-fashioned flowers printed In each of the boxes. The round neck was softened by a one-inch frill of cream point d'esprit, plcoted with delft blue. A narrow blue grosgrain ribbon was drawn through a slit high at the front ALL AROUND SPORT COSTUME This smart sport outfit is featured by the cape which is in attractive design. It is of tan and tan-and-brown homespun checkered. The ar. rangement of the cape should appeal to many women. HAVE CAPES FOR Parisiennes Wear Both Full Length and Clinging or Tweed and Homesoun Garments. The fashionable Parisienne wears capes on all occasions youthful, swinging capes in bright-hued fabrics, wraparound affairs, full length and clinging, or sturdy tweed and homespuns for utility purposes. Knickers, accompanied by the divided skirt wonfwith either jacket or cape, are a widely accepted sports fad. The short skirt cannot as yet be counted as a fashion discard, but the fashionable world is undeniably partial to the longer skirt; if not actually ankle length, it is made to appear so in many cases by the clever manipulation of the uneven hem-line, says the Designer. In fact, there is a perceptible lengthening of all the lines of the new frock the waistline isx never found at normal, but is dropped several inches lower, near the hips and loosely girdled; the molish shoulder line Is long, and sleeves continue to grow in length and width. There is an Irresistible nrray of materials and color worn for spring taffeta and silk faille for the full-skirted basque frock, crepe de chine, crepe romaine, crepe faille, and georgette for the paneled and draped modes, and rough-weave woolens for suits and Mreet dresses. The colors most often st'en are the sand shades, gray, black, copper, nenna. jade green, orange and the light and dark blues. The dress with matching cape Is usually a straight-line dress with fin?T tip length cape, while the sepa

The silts were buttonholed In blue. White dimity dresses are being offered for girls of "all ages. They are appropriate for graduation and party frocks, ns well as for general summer wear. Dimities arc expected to bo very active as soon ns the weather Is warm. It Is said their popularity will be greatest among children of from two to six years, rather than older girls. HOW THE SKIRTS ARE MADE Straight Lines Predominate, but Often Liberal Width Is Concealed About Them. Skirts are on straight lines, but often have a good deal of width concealed about them, and plaiting is generously used, usually in groups at the sides, and there are many entirely kilted plaited skirts, and the box plait; are favored. Panel effects in skirts are numerous, and some houses like the effect of a tiered skirt. Though skirt lengths for morning wear vary considerably, It may be said In general that they remain of sulliclent shortness to be practical. The plainer the suit, the shorter the skirt Is a good and general rule. The circular cut is not much favored, though here and there some designer has used it, especially in frock of draped tendencies, which often have an effect of circular flare at the side. NEW NEGLIGEES OF CHIFFON Summery Materials Making Appearance Narrow Ribbon Appliques in Roman Stripe Effect. Summery crepe de chines and chiffons are making their appearance for coat negligees. Narrow ribbon appliques in Koman stripe effect make the trimming for an Interesting crepe de chine design. On the chiffon models little soft ruflles with heading of lace insertion fall down the sides and are becomingly used as collars and cuffs. For n slightly more elaborate negligee chiffon is also used, combining contrasting shades and draped with ruffles of varying widths. The cape negligee of the very young person is another spring development and has recently appeared as a slipover model with ruchelike collar of self-blossoms faced with a contrasting color. ALL OCCASIONS rate cape envelopes the whole- figure and extends to the skirt edge. Such capes are often scalloped, sometimes bound, and frequently have a knitted straight band of contrasting color by way of finish. THE BRACELETS OF FLOWERS Floral Designs Made of Satin for Corsage Bouquets or to Adorn the Wrist. Among the apparently fanciful accessories are the floral designs made of satin to wear for corsage bouquets or bracelets for the wrist that have hidden under these lovely innocent flowers n tiny purse to hold one's handkerchiefs. Handkerchiefs are a nuisance when one has neither pockets nor handbag, so an ingenious Idea has been launched In these floral bracelets and bouquets. Other charming things that are Jone with flowers are wearing bunches of tiny silk rosebuds at either ear In true Japanese style, wreaths of buds entwining the wrists and to trim one's sash. Triple hearts of jade joined with pearls, swing from the ears of the smartly-garbed woman, and she carries nn umbrella In storms which sports n pendant heart of Jade to match her earrings. To Launder Woolens. In laundering wool materials It Is Important to keep the temperature of the washing water, the rinsing water and of the drying room the same.
