Ho Editor's Easy life. It is easy to be an editor, the Normal Bulletin says. To run a
newspaper successfully a man has merely to be able-to write poems, discuss the tariff and money questions, umpire a base ball game, report a wedding, saw wood, describe a fire so that the readers will shed their wraps, make $1 do the work of $10, shine at a dance, measure calico, abuse the liquor habit, test whiskey, subscribe to charity, go without meals, attack free silver wear diamonds, invent advertisements, sneer at snobbery, overlook scandal, appraise babies, delight pumpkin raisers, minister to the afflicted, lead the disgruntled, fight to a finish, set type, mould opinion, siveep out the office, speak at the prayer meeting, and stand in m with everybody. And in addition to the above essentials the poor edi
tor has to nrmt a naner once a

Coxen has been in screen work for about four years, and has won a large following among ardent motion nicture fans throughout the country. He is one of the most versatile players in the profession and is equally at home in a cowpuncher's outfit or in a dress suit. Coxen was born in London, England. He arrived in America while still a mere kiddie, and spent most of his life in San Francisco. He studied civil engineering, but gave it up to go prospecting. Fina.lly he decided he was cut out for an actor and secured an engagement at the Majestic Theatre in 'Frisco. Then the 'quake and fire came and Coxen entered stock work, remaining at it until he entered the Flying "A" studios in Santa Barbara, Cai-

We are not all possessed of the gift of expression, but upon all who think and feel has been bestowed the exquisite pleasure of crea ing beautiful thoughts, which, like flowers, only require cultivation to give
a rare exotic perfume. And so that book which has sown the seed for a single new thought-flower is the one that is most satisfying, th, one thai should most endear itself to us; and we are inclined to think, the most beautiful thoughts are those tinged with melancholy Wal' er Savage Lan4or, Equal to Sixteen States. Jasper Booze-fighters!
The following is a Portersville
item in last weeks H'Burg Independent Some of the Jasper boys came out to root for the Jasper bunch and, we suppose, thought they couldn't do full justice to the sport unless they took on a lot of booze, so they came with an auto load of booze and proceeded, as soon as they got hete, to empty the bottles before women, children and all- We suppose these boys couldn't drink it at Jasper because that town has the lid on. but gentlemen, we don't stand for our own boys carrying on like thi and we don't believe in allowing Pwcple from another place to come here and doing: what we won't allow our own boys to do, so if you must take on vour booze please don't come
to our village to anmc it. If you! The American tmvelor is now want 10 drink, go to some seclud: begining to familiarize himself with ed spot; because the citizens ot'tbe many attractions to be found this place will not stand for this;io lhis country, and to realize that disgraceful business any more. Jit isn't at al! nooe-snr to change 7 j countries in order to npend a plea.
