newspaper man in Monticeiio to go along with the crowd and not one of them had an auto of his own. And yet those boosters expect the papers to donate dollar after dollar in advertising helnincr the horse show

along. It's a queer world. Miranda, and no mistake. -Royal Centre Record. This is only one of the many common occurrences run up against by newspaper men. The newspaper is supposed to boost every public enterprise that -oracs along, take a prominent part in ill the free work and then pav his own expenses connected therewith and then have :1 thrown up to him that he gets f print a few posters advertising the matter. The hundreds of dollars in advertising space the newspaper gives various public enterprises are not taken Into account when it comes to giving credit.
