known pioneer resident of DuCounty died her kome in asper, Tuesday night at 9:15, a ölyrs. 3 mo. and 19 days Deceased was born in Germany Qc 4,1830 She was the youngest of four children of Lawrence and Kathenne (Keen) Heitz. They came to America landing at New Orleane in 1832. The mother died of that terrible disease, cholera, and in a few days the father died of the same disease. Both were burried on the banks of the Mississippi River, the vessel sailing on to Cincinnati Ohio with the four little orphans the two youngest were placed in an orphan asylum.
