FRIDAY, DECEMBER S, 1011 NOI GUILTY ! So Says Louis Meyer, C. E. Joss Geo. P. and Edgar Get The Calling Down of Their Lives. Engineer's Mistake All Buncum. Last week there was a reöort circulated over town that the rea son. tneiuni ötreet üewer was such a botch job was that the en pioneer Louis Meyers C- E. of BoonviUe had made a mistake. Geo. P. and Edgar wish that he had, as it is they are equally guilty of botching Meyers plans up. However, Meyers found out about tne report and the next tram brought him up with copy of the blue print and specifications for the chairman of the citizens committee and to find out what was wrong. He discovered that station No. 1, of the sewer is 3 feet too high, station No- 6, is 11 inches high, station No. 1, S E. Corner 4th and Mill 12 inches too low, station No. 15, 10 inches low, No. 18, too high. If the sewer was up on props it might make a good roller coaster, it has enough of ups and downs. As the plans were drawn the sewer would have had a fall of 2H inches to the foot, instead it is useless, being full of up downs and water won't run hill. The entire Sewer, will hav to be rebuilt Kraft can do a better job. We have heard it said that the contractor was endeavoring to collect a per cent for correcting some of his own mistakes, bnt that idea has been given up now.
