The machine was found broken down in front of the Y. M. C. A. building and the police are hopeful that the men still are in the vicinity.

Emperor Nicholas and his retinue occupied an adjoining box at the time the shooting occurred. The premier's assailant, who is supposed to be a member of the band of Nihilists that have recently made several attempts on tho premier's life, was arrested by the police as he tried to make his escape through the the
