St. Joseph's School Commencement For girls vrs held last Sunday night and a class of eleven young: ladies were given their diplomas. The class vs very nearly of the same age Miss Moutox being 15
years old and .Mss Kacniei
Doane, 13 years all the rest be
ing between those two. The class had an average of 89?-4 per
cent The average of the mdi
vidual members being as follows:
Kinga Runkel 79 Florence Siddons 85 Ju Ardela Salb 88 Viola Haller 88 A Katharine Schaaf 90 Hilda Moutoux 91 h Eveljn Dougherty 92 Evangeline Gugsell 92 3b Anita Binckley 92 h Elsie Sturm 92' Rachael Doane 95 h The College orchestra furnished some excelent music, in fact we thought it the best part of the exercises The little girls drills wre executed very nicely. The dialogues did not interest ur. At the close Kev. Basil delivered a short address and presented th diplomas, congratulations followed and all went home hap
py, in this connection it is proper to say that the entire class owe a lasting debt of gratitude to their earliest teacher, Sister Walburta, one of the finf st primary teachers that was ever in Jasper, and who started this class on the right way eight years ago. It is a fact that the primary teacher is the one who makes or mars a class of pupils. More attention should be paid to their selection. Give a clas .rood teachers for the first grades and the rest is easy they will get there Start them badly and they will never arrive. Common School Males 1911, COLUMBIA TP 7. Happy Results Have Made Many Jasper Reader Enthusiastic. No wonder scores of Jasper citizens grow enthusiastic It is enough to make anyone happy to find relief after years of suffering. Public statements like the following are but truthful representations of the daily work done in Jasper by Doan's Kidney Pills. Mrs Philip Schwenk, Mill St., 'aper, Ind., says: "I can vouch for the merit of Doan's Kidney Pills both from personal experience and from observation of their good work in other cases. 1 procured Dean's Kidney Pills at Flick and Pfau's Drug Store
and took them when suffering
from backache and stiffness in my neck. Relief soon followed their use and I am now in much better health. ' ' (Statement giv
en in April 1907.) Always Effective. On March 23. 1910, when Mrs.
Schwenk was inteerviewed, she!
said: Nothing has occurred during the past three years to alter my opinion of Doan's Iv;dney Pills I still take this remedy off and on and it never fai s to help me " For sale by all dealers. the ocst rifle made for the farmer, combining the ßood pointa of the old muzzle-loading squirrel rifle with the convenience and rapid fire of the most improved repeater. It i3 so constructed that the same rifle uses the fcllowinß caitridßes: .32 short and long rim fire, .3a short and long center fire, and is the only repeater made using rim fire cartridges larger than the .aa calibre.
