Dubois, Ind , May 4, 1910. In o-derto put myself right before the people of this county, I submit the following for the purpose of showing-up some of the trickery and diahonesty that was carried on just a few days before the recent primary. It was rumored all over this county that I was a prohibitionist. No one has worked harder than 1 have, in my bumble way, for the success of the Democratic party ever cince I was old enough to vote. Another falsehood that was sent broadcast over the county was that I didn't like the Germans and didn't want their votes. Last, but not least, was the falsehood that I hated the Catholics. This was "the unkindest cut of all." I hate no one, and I believe that everyone should have the right to worship God in any manner he wishes, or belong to any church he wants to, I am glad we live in a country that gives us this privelege. I think better of a man that steals my money than the one who besmirches my good name by falsehoods. "He who steals my purse steals trash, but he that filches from rne my good name takes that which does him no good, but make me poor indeed." Let us be fair in this matter. Can the democrats of the

Lounty mix politics and religion and live oer another primary? A man's religion or his nationality should not be against him in this land of the free". I am a democrat. I believe in democratic principles, and I also believe
