Joseph's church, the occasion being the celebration of Ew. Basil Heosler's Silver Jubilee or the, 2"th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. Jacob Burger cashier, j A Leap-year Hay Ride. ; When the year 1908 was ushered in by the ringing of bells and firing of guns, the Maids of Ireland awoke to the fact that this was a Leap year, and immediately decided upon a plan to better their condition Here their trouble began, for they found it no easy task. For four long weary months they were la-1 boring under a problem of what plan they should take in order to bet er themselves and finally decided upon the Hay Ride they enjoyed to Otweil Friday night. To" engage the boys company for this event, telephones were ruled out of order, so it became necessary to call at the boy's homes. The Maids were six in number but less in bravery, for of this
