Milliner Said They Were Dirty. Was Ejected From Office William Binckley, editor of the Jasper Herald, was arrested here yesterday charged with having committed assault and battery upon Mrs. Cummiskey, a prominent milliner of this place. Five cents worth of old papers caused the trouble. IMrs. Commiskey ordered the papers and then sent them beck to Editcr Binckley. According to Mrs Cummiskey, they were dirty and not fit to use. Mr. Binckley contended that they were clean, uncut, all right except faded Mrs. Cummiskey disputed the the editors word. He returned her money and ordered her out of his office several times. She refused to go and called him naughty names and he put her
out. She then had him arrested
for assanlt and battery. The
case will come up for trial at the
next term of this circuit court
here .-Evansville Courier April '21.
Mrs. Cummiskey says that
there is a large amount of false hood in the above, that she called the editor 'no naughty names, but as a matter of fact that Mr. Binkly provoked her and dis
puted her word several times and then struck and pushed her out
of the door and fastened it catching her skirt as he did so and for several minutes she was fastened to the door while he abused
her by calling her names
