The Behrens Case. The case of the State of Indiana vs. Charles Behrens for Embezzlement whic consumed 15 days of the January term of the Circuit Court came to an end Saturday the jury after being out one hour and a half returned a verdict of Not guilty There are yet 11 cases pending against Behrens We are informed that the jury took but three ballots standing 10 to 2 on the 1st and 2d and all agreeing on the 3rd ballot The cost of the case to Dubois

r j Thomas H. Green, one of the best and one of the oldest citizens of Madison Tp. died at his home Monday, Feb. 10, I90S. Mr. Green was a pioneer of Madison township, where he lived all his life. He was a soldier in the Civil war and a pensioner. He leaves several children, all grown, to mourn his loss. His eaithly remains were laid to rest in Mount Lebanon cemetery Wednesday morning, February 12, under the auspices of the Ireland G. A. R. post and I OO.F. of Ireland, of which orders he
