Anton Berger one of the best citizens fell of the roof of Solons Stephensons house lust Saturday afternoon, he was carried home.
Drs. (Jasper ana bturm were called and they done all in their power to save him, internal injuries caused hi& death, which occured About 3 o'clock Sunday morning Jan 19. Mr. Berger was born in Dubois County January 14, 1S44, and consequently at the time was 64 years and 0 days old. In 1861 he inlisted in Co K 27 Reg Ind. Vol and served his :ountry with honor for three years. On Aug. 27. 186 he was united in marriage with Miss Helen Krodel to this union nine children were born, Joseph (dead) Anna, John, Louis, Andrew, Benjamin, Theresia Mayme and Silas.
