iS-In discussing the question
of township expenses we rise to
remark that the present township
trustee, published his lSHJb report
in the only hepuoiican paper
m the county. A Democratic paper published a summary. Evidently the Democratic papers were not good enough for our present trustee or else he didn't want the report read and it don't rend very well The publication in the "only Republican" was
not a correct publication and for
which he was not compelled tc
pay and whbh the present ad visory board should not allow
Bambndge township s present
trustee should read Chapter 214, page 376 of the acts of 1907. Hon. M. i Traylor's Withdrawal. In another column of this paper will be found the formal announcement of Hon. Wm. A. Traylor's withdrawal from the race for Judge of the 57th Judi cial Circuit, owing to infirmities, which are his misfortune and not his fault. He has many warm friends and ardent supporters in this county, who have followed his flag and worked for his political advance for the past twenty years, and who would have gladly done so again but the ever varying and shifting current of human events seem to have decreed otherwise. It has been said that man is the architect of his own fortune, how seldom is he the arbitrator of his own destiny? How often do we see those, who by their talent, industry and ability deserve the highest honors of their fellow-citizens yet failing to receive them. The District Convention. Tbe district "onvntion for the purpose of electing a chairman for the Thin": Congressional District met at New Albany Jan. 1, 19ufi.
