Gov. Durbin has exercised this privilege for the first time since it was given him in the appointment ol W. S. Hunter, of Jasper, to sit 'as special Judge in the case cf Mrs. Pearl Hazlewood, of Louisville against bei husband. Dr. John Haxlewood, of Vew Albany. The plaintiff in the suit was formerly Miss Pearl Meder-. of Louisville, and she is now living with relatives in that city. She was married to )r. Hazlewood, a prominent and successful phveician of New Albany, two years ago. They lived together as husband and wife but a few months, when Mrs. Hazlewood returned to her relatives.
