(iladish. giTMorgan & Co. are wealthy enough to build ten such roads as from Jasper to French Lick, without asking aid from citizens along the line. The outlay would hardly interfere with their pocket change, and all the aid the people are able to give will be no inducement if they don't intend to build any way. The records oay their commission on one Trust formed last year amounted to $12,000,000, or double the value of Dubois county. 0a the Plaza at the Fall Festival. The Cincinnati people prefer to call the street fair department of their Fall Festival "The Plaza." Certainly if there is anything in a name, the choice of Plaza is a hap py one, and the situation of it in a beautiful park adorned with fine old trees, and gushing fountains, even more fortunate. When it comes to choosing Plaza features, there are certain entertaining shows, that can never be excluded from the category. Therefore, the trained Animal Show, to please the children, and the lively Moulin Rouge and Streets of All Nations to stimulate the grown ups, will be met with at Cincinnati, when we visit the Fest next September. Also the Snake Swal lower, like the poor, he is always with us. Then there will be the Juvenile Theater, where the sweetest little children dance and sing, reminding one of the fairies and elves one used to know about a hundred years or so ago. The walks and streets dividing the Plaza have all been given appropriate titles. On Military March, we may admire the gallant soldiers, for a company of the 0. N. G. will be camped on the Plaza at the Fest. Lover's Lane is the Paradise of kindred spirits. Geneva street takes us to lunch at the Swiss Chalet, Animalia Av. conducts to the Ani mal Show, and Slippery Slide to the Snake Swailower. The Moulin Kouge is of course, situated on the Paris Boulevard, but aquestion that the directors wont answer for reasons known only to themselves, is this, to whos3 show does Crank st. lead? KB.Thirteen residences and a large brick hotel have been built in Jasper this year, and moat of them are completed and occupied, while the others soon will be, and the building boom ie still "on." av Wagon loads of watermelons are being brought to town from w uue river now.
