Special Meeting of Ihc Town Trustees. A special met ting of the the town traattM ma held Thursday
night, Aug. 29, to act on a petitton
of Jasper citizens praying for the removal of obstructions in Clay street and the widening of the same. The president of the board, Mr. Lory, being a property owner on i lay street, asked t be relieved from acting, and Trustee Qerbof was made president pro tern. The petition area approved by the Uoaid and Messrs Win. Lugers, M. A. Clark, and F. L. Hetz were appointed apprai.-er- to asses the benefits and damages to the property along said street. The town clerk was ordered to give legal notice to them of their appointment and to have notices of the appraisement served on each of the property owners affected by the order. The appraiser are to nuet at the
town attorney a offioe on .September JS to he sworn and make ftp I . -ement. A petition signed by all of the N -ident property owners on the I lUth side of West 9th street in Soligft 'a and Milburn's, additions, praying for the improvement of the oiith side of said street and the making of a plank side walk from S lifft'a addition to Clay street was received and taken under advisement until next meeting. Messrs R. M. Miibuin and (ieo. Wuchner were before the board and complained of the present dilapidated condition of the Ja-per graveyard, and a-kr l that something be done to improve the same.
