$3,000.00 Is said to be the corruption fund now in the hands of the Dubois County Republican Committee. With this large a fund it cannot be used for legitimate, honest expenses, and no doubt attempts will be made at corruption, either of voters or of election boards. Democrats should be watching shaiply, and prevent, by all means, any buying of voters or election officers no matter by whom attempted. It is a penitentiary offense to try to buy an election officer, and the penalty will be enforced on every one found out. If men want to sell their votes, and be disfranchised for twenty years afterwards, they should charge at least $100 for their vote, as it will be their last chance for twenty years so don't sell out too cheaply. The Trusts can afford to pay.
