Mr. Thomas Horton OB! tM aasj oirJf south every Sunda evening. Who can guess the attractions? Mr A. H. Traylor was very su'-cs-ful in organizing a class in music for Mrs. Hargrave. Every one w ill be pleased to have her back in our community. Mr. Ozro Cassidy is glad that he owns a wheel, because it will be ho convenient to take him to see Miss S.illie. Most of our girls beve come to the conclusion that Lee Hargrave is the "only oyster in tin stew." Mr. Frank DeMotte and family were the guests ul Mr. 1 hn R-ed on last Sunday. Rev. Q. C. Cooper and family visited Mrs. Kachel Rrittain last Saturday. Mr. Frank Lewis, of Petersburg, gladdened some hearts in this section with his presence l ist week. Mr. Thomas Inman is rejoicing because he has a change in his daily occupation. The Pie Supper at the Miley (iraded Sch iol was a success. An
entertaining program was prepared
by the teachers interested in District No. 2. A song entitled "Give us Little Boys a Chance," sung by the boys of the primary room, was highly praised. The little girls from the same room si n a "Pie" song which was especially prepared for tbe occasion. After hearing the singing all felt glad to learn that they could have some pie. Miss Rrittain had drilled tbe little folks to sing a motion song, which was very entertaining. After tbe literary social the gentlemen proceeded to the opposite room t" purchase pies. All were soon gold and a merrier, happier company could not be found than those who were lucky enough to secure pies and
partners. The rooms were beautifully decorated with pictures, flowers, evergreens and appropriate mottoes. Knough money was secured to buy two sets of Y. P. R. C. books, so the trustee thought it best to not have any more pie socials for a while. Syhils.
