The much desired change of time of railroad service to Jasper took placa Sept. 1st and now we judge our people will not sign petitions again for a change without being certain of what they ask for. The schedule gives Jasper three trains a day once more, arriving at 6 ;90 o'clock, H .25 a. m., and 8:80 p. m. ; departing at 7 a. m., 10:05 a. m. and 4:10 p.m. week days. On Sundays two trains arriving at 9 :50 a. ir and 3 :.'K) p. m. and leaving at 1(1:05 a. m. and at i:40p. ni. This will give Jasper excellent service. The I.. K. Si St. L. railway issued the following notice Sent. 1st: "We are pleased to announce that, effective this date, all Air Line trains will arrive at and depart from Union dext at Louisville, Ky., Seventh street, where direct connection is made with the Chesapeake A Ohio railway, Southern railway and Illinois Central railway. This will avoid transfe r at Louisville which has heretofore been necessary. On same date we will establish dining and parlor car service on day trains between St. Louis and Louisville. R. .
