Bio Cost Bill. Dec. 2Ut the Clerk of Pike Circuit Court certified to Auditor Koerner, of this county,

the bill of costs, charged against Dubois county, in the case of the State vs Zella Kellams, for murder, taken there on a change of venufrom this county, and tried last summer. It reached the Auditor otlice Dec. 2M and called for a total as allowed by the Court, of $844.40, The largest single item in the bill was the attorney fee of Richardson & Taylor for defending her, amount ine to $135, while R. M. Milburn

was employed as county attorney by this county to defend her, and was also present. The jur, foi lowed for 7'2 for the trial jury, and

$2ti more for the regular panel, kept in waiting, and 136 for boarding jury, and 3r.73 for boarding pool witnesses, and numerous amallei amounts for various othcers. The legislature this winter ought to change the law in regard to change of venue from counties in all dataes of casea, civil as well as criminal, so that the matter of prejudice, or personal feeling, should Ik- a fact for the determination of the Judge, after a full hearing of evidence, for and against, on both sides.
