Board met last Monday night. All members present. Geo. R. Wilson, engineer, reporte a plat of the proposed 'annexation of land on cast side of McCrillus' addition on Patoka river, which report was received, and reasons aasigned for its annexation adopted by the Board, and ordered incorporated in a petition to the Board of Com

missioners of Dubois county.

Andrew J . Berger reiwrts officially

to the Board that the result of the

election on the water works proposition on July 29, 1895, was a vote of 188 for water works, and 39

against, showing a majority for of

149 votes, thereupon the Board

adopted a resolution that the town

of Jasper would construct and main

tain a system of water works for, said town.

On motion Trustees Henry Pfau

and Phil. Kunkel, and engineer G. R. Wilson were appointed a committee to investigate, at the expense

of the town, different systems of

water works over the State of Indi

ana as they may think best, and submit to this Board their plans of

a suitable system of water works, and the location therefor, which can

be constructed within the pefcaiary

tmits which can be raised for that

mrpose, in order to enable the town

to build its own water works as soon

as possible.

On motion Bruno Buettner was

employed to attend to any legal

matters in regard to the construc

tion of said water works, at a reasonable compensation.

The Board then adjourned.
