Sudden Death.- On Tuesdny

morning Mrs. Lucinda Dtlhn, wtü

ov of the late Thos. Dillin, died

very unexpectedly and suddenly at her home west of Ireland. She got

up in the morning apparently as

well as ever, went across the street

to her barnyard and fed her fowls,

and returned to the house and laid

down on her bed. In a few min

utes some of the family entered the room, and discovered her breathing heavily and unconscious, and she died in a short time. Heart failure

is nssiimed as the cause. She was

about 55 cars old, and leaves ,f sons and two daughters. Two o

the sons, Sam. and Hugh, live in Florida, and a telegram was sent

mi Tuesday morning. The buna

will probably not occur till they arc

heard from or reach here.

Leniigtoi Leaves. Still rainy, and the roads are get

ting bad.

Rev. A. L. Medcalf preached an

interesting sermon at this place last

Sunday, and ordained two elders.

Fred Schnarr and Dock Parr are

the boss bicycle riders here.

The Lemmons school closed last Saturday. A fine dinner was given

to the teacher and scholars.

Christ. Schnarr was made happy

by the arrival of a dishwasher.

John Petry moved to Necdmore,

and he thinks it is much nicer to live in town than to live in the

backwoods.

Ed. Moore made a flying trip to French Lick Saturday "to see his

parents, and returned Sunday.

Oh yes, the black-eyed girl was

seen going to Daviess Saturday,

and returned Sunday all smiles.

Theodore Yates makes flyingtrips

to Lemmons every other Sunday
