Monday of last week was a sad; day for our people, as well as for people for miles away. Old uncle David Milburn, a soldier of the late war, and a very old soldier in the army of the Lord, after living a mile north of IHUham for ibout 50 years, died, after a lingermg sickness 01 disease 01 tne oiauder. Uncle Dave's life has been well spent; his dealings with his neighbors has proven him a devoted christian, hence, while we sorrow with his family, we can t help reoicing that a fellow mortal has ceased from suffering and is safely mused where sickness and pain can never trouble him, and is now enoying the fruits of a long, useful ife, spent in the service of (!od. 1 nive lived near Mr. Milburn for nearly 50 years, and can't call to mv mind any trouble he has had with anv neighbor. He leaves a wife and a large family of grown children, who have the svmpathv of all. Mrs. Tennie Collins, wife of Wil liam Collins, died the same day. She leaves a husband and a large family of children to mourn the loss of a devoted mother. Aaron Moore, our old preacher-jquire-and-farnier, living at the little town of Crystal, is married again this time he married a woman with two children, but I have not earned her name. The old Squire aas very much in need of a house keeper, and was certainly well postid since ne nau oceu imirneu tuiei before. The neighbors threaten to serenade the newly made bapp folks, and uncle Aaron has not fetched her homo yet. Our advic to them i to uet t .eir things to gether and go tu "keeping house. Coxkv.
