Furiu, Field und Fireside. Savoo Soup: Take two caps of cooked split peas wluch have been rubIted through a colander, one cup of mashed potato, and one-half cup of

strained, stewed tomato, add sufficient hot water to make of proper consistency, season wltli Milt iand add an onion sliced. Ku'hcut the whole until well llavoretl with the onion. Itcmovu the pieces with a fork or turn the whole through n soup-strainer when it is ready to serve. A little cream may bo added if desired. CJood Health. Yorkshire Pudding: Five tablespoonfuls of Hour, two eggs, a pineli of wit, milk enough to make a batter the thickness of cream (about a pint). Mix eggs, Hour and salt with a little milk till smooth, adding gradually the rest of the milk. Pour the batter into a large dripping pan which has been thoroughly greased with hot beef dripping. Uako in a hot oven fifteen or twenty minutes. Serve with the beef, with gravy poured over. Good Housekeeping. Fish Forcemeat: Take two ounces of tnrbot, sole, lobster, shrimps, or oysters; free from skin, put into a

mortar, with two onnecs of fresh butter, one ounce of bread crumbs, volks of two eggs, boiled hard, and a little eschalot, grated lemon peel, and parsley, mineedvery line. Pound well till thoroughly mixed and smooth; season with sait and cayenne jeppcr; breale in the yolk and white of one egg, rub well together, and the meat is ready for use. Oysters parboiled and minced line, and an anchovy may be added. Housekeeper. Cocoanut Pudding: ISrcak the cocoanut and save the milk; peel off all the brown part and then grate the cocoanut very fine. Take the same weight of the cocoanut of powdered white sugar and one-quarter p;und of

iresn outicr; run the butter and sugar to a cream, and add to it five eggs, well Waten, one cupful of sweet cream, or rich sweet milk, the milk of the cocoanut. Stir all well together. Lino a deep pudding dish with rich paste, put in the pudding, and bake it an hour and u quarter. To be eaten either hot or cold without sauce. Ohio Farmer. Sponge Cake: Take the weight of ten unbroken eggs in sugar and half that weight in Hour. Peat the- volks till very light, then add the sugar and Iwat five minutes; add the rind and juice of one large lemon, or two small ones, and the whites beaten to a stiff friJlh. Stir in the Hour gradually and thoroughly. This measure makes three good-sized loaves. Pake about half an

hour in a moderate oven. The oven door must not bo opened till the cake is nea i ly done, as it will be likely to fall.
