There was a sad accident happened at

a saw mill across tbe river from bere. in Mai tin county, one day last week. Tbe

arson brothers own and run tne mm.

The youngest, William, was working

oear the saw, when a puff of wind blew

his coat against the saw. He fell on theaaw.it Denetrating bis side below

tbe arm, making a terrible gash ; he lived a short time but died the same day. He leaves a young wife, small child, an aged father, three brothers and one sister to mourn their loss.

There were two other accidents, but not ao serious, bappeued at another mill

about tbe same time, and not far from

tbe Parsons mill. George Uochran, an

old engineer, bad two nngers cut on,

and Henry Arms, a young man, cut his

foot nearly off with an axe.
