Comments - During tho life of our Lord men came to Him with all manner of queer questions. Among those men was one who kud asked Him. savinc: "Which is tho first commandment of all!" To this tho Master gavo the Immortal answer which we have in our lesson for to-day. In tho place . of the tea commandments given from Mount Hinai, ho placed twe; and they set forth to us tho fact that in lore htheful miment of all that God require of us. InUlead of saving: "Don't do this, mid don't do that." it merely tells us to lovo God with all our hearts, and our felloivmcu as ourselves, and all else will take care of it self. Jesus Christ seeks to elevate men by love. Houses fear and desire for reward, each in its nroncr place, but Ho never ex alts them. above love. Don't try to work with a heavy spade. I here aro light. strong ones that make the digging quite easy and pleasant. Sister Ura cious, in American Garden. Keeping Horses Without Grain. No grain has been fed to my work horses for seven years and very little for twenty. I find that choice clover liny on good land and cut in full bloom or very soon afterwards, will keep work horses in good order with tho work I have to do. The hay, however, must bo choice. It should be tli roequarters clover at least. A little timothy in it seems to be an advantage. It Is more easily cured and tho horses llko a little for a change, although thoy prefer clover to timothy nsn rule, and then, clear, early-cut clover is al most too loosening. Having such hay I want horses of reasonable stomach capacity to feed it to, and I want to feed n reasonable amount threo times a day, tho heaviest feed being Ulven at night, when the animals aro working hard. To keep bay before horses all tho time, or nearly all, is not tho proper way. I want to sco thorn hungry when I go to feed them. We sprinkle tho hay slightly after putting it in their nmngers. A common garden sprinkling can is titod, and, having water in the barn, supplying it is very llttlo trouble. Feeding in this way, with ordinary care about pulling n horse very hard when lie was full, I have had no 'trouble from heaves. In fact, I have bought horses that had the heaves and worked thetn for years on clover hay alon. T. 11. Terry, in llural New Yorkorw

The attempt tonasasueh a bill ha's been made before, but it failed. It is a measure which ought not to pass, because it invades tho personal liberty of tho citizen; not tho personal liberty of the 'irregular' physician only.hutof tho patient.
