In Jail. Miss Polly Walker, of Huntlugbuig, was brought over and lodged in the count v jail on Saturday last, charged with killing her new born babe. The child was lound at the bottom of an air shaft of Dsrrowman's coal mines,' and Marshal Tuscker taking the census ol the town saw her iu bed. and finding no child, his suspicions were aroused. She was arrested on Friday, and after an examination was committed to jail. WJrMr. Andrew Mehringer, one of the oldest aud most respected farmers ol Ilainbridge township, and who has been feeble for several months, is now barely able to get up.
