Mrs. Dudley at this cried out lu a loud voice: "You are a Hart You never read a word of it," At several subsequent points In Uossa's testimouy Mrs. Dudley made similar remarks, at one time telling the jury to move away from hhn as he was a dangerouk man, and at another, saying that he wan never struck by a bullet at all, but fell to the sidewalk through fright. Mrs. Dudley continued to Interject her sharp aad sarcastic sallies up to the time of adjournment, much after the fashion ia which Gulteau enlivened the proceedings during his trial. Itossa said that wbea he fell, after being shot, his less were paralyzed, and Mrs. Dudley added: "With fear." Thea she continued: "You were, scared, Jeremiah, and badly." While Judge Fullertoa was reading one of Kossa's linflainmatory editorials, she jeered: "How did yon like your owa weapons, Donovan? I wouldn't have shown the white feather If I was a coward."
