They have in no case traveled outside of the precdents established by the republicans themselves and in most of the cases their action was bared on the opinion given by the judges of the supreme court. For instance: A judge gave an opinion in 1875 that the governor and council ennld not count the votes returned f r Win. II. Smith and William II.
