Take 1 quart of milk, 3 tablospoonfuls of corn-starch, 2 eggs and a little salt. Dissolve the staroh in a little of the cold milk, and bring all to a boil. Flavor to taste ; then turn out into molds, and serve with lemon jelly. Preserving Game and Poultry. When the bird is just killed, take off the feathers dry, take out the intestines and fill the inside with unground wheat, and place the bird or fowl in a cask of the same grain. See that it is entirely covered with the wheat, and it will keep perfectly sweet for months. Graham Gems. 2 cupfuls of sweet milk, 2 cupfuls of flour, 2 eggs, and an even teaspoonful of salt.
