The teachers of Boone township as-i sombled in Institute at Miley's School house, January 20th, 1877. Long before the appointed time to assemble, the house was filled to overflow by enthusiastic teachers and eager visitors, ready at all times to grasp the words of truth as they were uttered and expounded by the exhilarant though earnest instructors. Notwithstanding the recent rain, diluting and saturating the superficial contents of the earth, they came. The house was called to order by E. R. Brundick, County Superintendent. Prayer, by J. L.
