county, and they deserve to succeed in the acconiplishment of their object, which ia tosecure the location of the road through or near that town. It is not unlikely that the directors will locate the road at an early day. and its location will be a matter of great interest to all interested. It is especially a matter of prent interest to the people living in the counties through which it passes, aud we believe that many of them are

aware of its importance. Those who have not manifested the interest in the

enterprise tin y should, will lind it too late to regret their inattention to the great work, after the location has been made aud their places lett out in the cold. The company has reached a point from which they see the great work clearly. They will ask for the right of way through the lower part of the citv. to State street, at the MXt meeting of the Council, and wc doubt not it will be grated them.

The next move will le the location of

the first six miles of the road, and letting
