county arrived at Joogootee, on last Monday, they stopped and ate snppor at tlie Iii ley Bouse, kept by t! at in tense black republican, self styled "loyal Union-patriot," Bob. Riley. After supper the dia- Moyal"' landlord having received an order lor his pay.

and found out that the soldiers were

principally Democrats, ordered the

volunteers out his house, showing bis

"patriotism" by refusing to let sol

diem set by his fire, on a cold, snowy

blustering night, until a train of cars came along to take them to camp.

This ia a good deal meaner than we anppoaed Bob. Riley would be, but is

about ou a par with the general ac

tions of blatant, self styled "Union patriots." who are constantly heard

calling their neighbors 'copperheads.'

We hope our Commissioners will pro

perly atteud to his bill for the supper
