Corn-husking time will soon be here. Chris. Hhnaler has made an addition io his barn which improves the appearance of his farm very much. He also built an addition to his house not long since. William Wilmore started for lowa on the slh inst. Simon, Charley and W. S. Bedford drove a couple of teams through. May they be blessed with abundance in their new home.

While out herding his horse foil and injured him (William) so that his recovery is considered doubtful.— One of his herders is also very sick. A Mr. Breeding, who lives to the eastern part of the township, died on the 14th of typhoid fever. I made a mistake in one of the items in my last letter. Just let it slide. Will became enraged and threw a stone at one of his horses, missing the horse and striking Tom in the lower abdominal regions, rolling him over as Snodgrass thought, in the agonies of death.— Pretty soon he ceased struggling and Will thought sure be had killed the poor man, and visions of Constables and jails began to flit before his eyes , when the dead Methena . raised up and looked around, after which Will entertained hopes of his recovery.— Some think that Will Snodgrass attempted to commit assault and battery on the person of T.
