What the Press Say of Us.

We have received the initial number of tbe Jasper RspuBUCAX, the new paper started at Rensselaer. It has the ring of the true m. tal, and we hope the Republicans of that county wilt give th* new enterprise a liberal support .—Crown Point Register. We have received the first number of the Jasper Republican, puplished at Rensselaer, by Charles M. Johnson of tbe late Remington Jour%tl. It is a seven column folio, and presents a neat appearance. We wish its editor much, success in the accumulation of a large pie of gre< nbarks, and hope that the Republican may evet be the champion of pure Republican principles and be ever ready and willing to condemn wrong and exppse fraud and dishonesty whenever they may desecrate the name of republicanism.— Benton County Herald. The Jasper Republican is the title of a new paper started at Rensselaer in the interest of the Republican party. It is a very neatly printed seven column paper, edited and puolished by Chas. The first issue is well gotten up, and in mechanical skill and cditorul ability reflects credit on the proprietor. We wish the new paper abundant success.— Winamac Republican. Air. C. M. In the number before us we see evidence that the Republican has started to stay, and we congratulate the Republicans of Jasjer, on their possession of this neatand able defender oftheir cherished cause and its principles. —Logansport Journal.
