Keep Politics Out of the Grange.
{Delphi Journal.) Whereas, We believe that an effort is being made by politicians and office seekers, to make of the Patrons a political party to subserve their own personal interests, and thereby thwart the purposes for which they were first intended, and Whereas, The interests of the Order demand that we strictly adhere to those principles upon which it was founded, therefore be it Resolved, By Clay Grange, No. 212 that we as a Grange will not suffer ourselves to be led away from the true principles of our Order, and that we will not tolerate the discussion of any political question in the Grange in any manner whatever, and be it further Resolved, That while we thus declare our position as a Grange, we would not have our motives misconstructed, but will exercise our rights as independent voters, and use them for the best interests of our country.
